Merzbow & Xerosx - Aerovivanda (tape, Red Rat Recordings RRR 038, 1984)

No, no Merzbow? Maybe some of you dislike his music that he produces these days, the super loud noise thing, but some of his tapes in the eighties are much less noisy and actually great. Masami Akita plays here rhythm, effect guitar and synth while one Yuzuru Shogese plays rhythm, synth and effect. Great, almost psychedelic music with driving rhythms and lots of shortwave. Especially the a-side is favorite here. I couldn't find proper point to separate the b-side, so that one comes as one track. Red Rat Recordings was a dutch label run by Otto Grunbauer, who didn't pack his tapes properly, but rather hand typed every cover. He's also a musician, and we'll have some music soon by him from a compilation that I'll post soon.

well, it's more because a lot of people these days don't like merzbow because it's so loud noise - i do like that. this particular post was to proof people they are wrong. if i dig out more tapes by him, i'll post some more. if only i knew where they are...

yes really a nice one... love it... not the same as aka meme tape which is more rhythm based... but not really much different... sounds a bit like some of the s.core stuff from the mid 80's... one of my faves too...

ok, thanks a lot for that and please continue your great job
